About the Branch.

The Stoke Gabriel Branch of The Royal British Legion co-ordinates  the annual November Poppy Appeal. Unfortunately due to lack of collectors we have had to cancel house to house collections and rely on Poppy Boxes and Poppy Tins in a number of locations around the Village.

On Armistice Day November 11th at 11.00am we have a 2 minute silence at The War Memorial with the playing of the Last Post and Reveille with the Branch Standard present.

Together with the Vicar and the Uniform Organisations we arrange the Royal British Legion Service of Remembrance in the church which is held on Remember Sunday. In the past it started at 3.00pm but in the future plans are  it to be held at 11.00am

Due to having only 3 Committee members we have not held any meetings or social events for a number of years. We are always on the lookout for new members and together with them resurrect the Branch which has been in existence for over 90 years.
